Project Info:
The project is undergoing a strategic cloud migration and system enhancement project.
The role involves migrating their infrastructure from AWS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), implementing containerized deployments, and setting up automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline their operations.
This project will leverage cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Apache AirFlow, and AlloyDB to ensure scalable and efficient application performance.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing cloud orchestration, managing clusters, and ensuring seamless deployment of enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
Lead the migration of infrastructure from AWS to GCP, ensuring smooth transition and system stability.
Implement and manage fully automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and deployment workflows.
Oversee containerized deployments using Docker and manage scaling and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure using GCP services such as GCE and AlloyDB.
Utilize Apache AirFlow (preferably on Astronomer managed platform) for managing complex data pipelines.
Use configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform for cloud orchestration and infrastructure automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in cloud security, performance, and scaling.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers on cloud architecture and best practices.
Essential Experience and Skills Required:
Cloud Platforms: Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly GCE and AlloyDB.
Configuration Management: Proficiency in using Ansible or Terraform for cloud orchestration.
CI/CD: Experience implementing fully automated CI/CD pipelines, with a deep understanding of Gitflow Workflow.
Containerization: Strong background in containerized deployments using Docker, along with experience managing container clusters using Kubernetes.
Apache AirFlow: Proficiency in AirFlow for managing and scaling data workflows. Experience with Astronomer managed platform on GCP is a strong plus.
Database Migration: Experience migrating databases from Aurora to AlloyDB is highly desirable.
Additional Technologies: Familiarity with Apache ANT and Wildfly application server is a bonus.
Cloud Migration: Proven experience in managing infrastructure migrations from AWS to GCP.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Astronomer managed platform for Apache AirFlow on GCP.
Hands-on experience migrating from Aurora to AlloyDB.
Experience working with Apache ANT and Wildfly application server.
